HBS - FIFA World cup 2010 - SOUTH AFRICA

In charge of the diffusion of the soccer world cup by the FIFA, the company HBS had to equip itself with an infallible system of intercommunication to coordinate its television team.
One of the most important points in this type of event is the HF coverage. The immensity of the stadium requires long distance communication and an excellent quality sound.
The good functioning of the equipment on the 10 stadiums covered by HBS is also vital. Indeed the slightest failure of the system could impact directly the live broadcast.
The company HBS has put its trust in a system which is still proving to be the best in such a difficult situation.

We were on site in the 10 stadiums in South Africa.
Our systems on sites were detailed as follows:
5 HF bases + single fibres
3 HF base + double fibres
Meaning: 11 deported fibres
32 mobiles UCDP
To answer to the issue of HF coverage, we have deported antennas using optical fibre to allow the teams to move in all along the stadium. The cameraman and video assistants could therefore communicate as well as in the bleachers than on the playing field, the TV zone compound, the arrival bus parking, the basement, the reception hall and the cloakrooms buried under cube metres of reinforced concrete.
Finally the broadcast worked without any problems thanks to a company who goes straight to the goal dribbling the boundary of the HF.
